Speckles is a Blue Copper Marans rooster with Splash coloring. His hatch date was April 26, 2013. So, my question to the experts here is would it be reasonable to charge for him? If so, how much should I ask for this boy? Mainly I do not want him to be eaten since he was raised by my daughter...

So many wonderful picture on this thread! It moves so quickly I have a hard time keeping up with it, but I'm trying. Here are pictures of the Barnevelders from Wednesday, so that would make the 3-4 days old. They are the cutest chicks and we are really enjoying them...

She is very nice. Good markings. I hope my chicks turn out as nice as their parents, siblings and cousins!

No Barnies ?! You might need one or two...or 5 in chicken math ? They are so pretty and the eggs look great as well . The pure Barnevelder rooster that Trisha has is huge. He must be over 14 pounds if he's an ounce. He is simply gorgeous. Well, so are her blue roosters too for that...

That is good to know that is is difficult to autosex blues. Maybe some are being sneaky then. I'm definitely no expert, but I tried to see if I could tell the sexes of these little ones. I didn't presume to even try to sex the 3 splashes (so pretty!), but there are definitely 3 girls in there...

Thank you Happy Chooks! I put 27 into "lockdown" late (although I've had to open the incubator quite a bit just to remove chicks so they don't play soccer with the remaining eggs...I know, not supposed to do that, but it seemed like either that or they would trash the remaining eggs). So...
