OK! Since there wasn't an overwhelming response to these birds I'm gonna.
Don't wear your personal feelings on your sleeve please.
Faverolles in Canada have never been plentiful. There was, at one time, a few bantam breeders but not large fowl.
Therefore, sometimes what you have to use...

Thanx for the imput, i was leaning towards the first cockeral as well due to coloring (and he has a decent comb, 6 points, its not very even but its all i have to work with), hes a little slower to develop than the other boy but has a ways to go. they are only 5 months. I have one...
would like some feedback on these faverolles if anyone could help out they are nearly impossible to find in canada, so these are from a hatchery . the first photo is 2 pullets, the one one left is terrible (so much black) i wont be keeping her, but the one on the right is better (still not...
took a few pics today and thought id post one, they are supposed to be salmon but the hen has weird coloring? 3/4 of the hens i got from the hatchery have this coloring, only 1 is what is think of as "normal" salmon coloring. They are strong healthy birds so im pleased with them, i didnt expect...

all you can do is try. there will be a dominant male that will do such things as hit the other male when he tries to breed. if a group that has been together i'd give it a good chance.
peter
thx for the reply, im growing this group out together (from chicks), and have had good success...
tempermentwise do you think its possible to house 2 roos with 4 hens? i want to keep a "backup" rooster (i have never seen them for sale in my area, so not easy to replace should one kick it).
here are some pics of my month old hatchery salmon faverolles, was supposed to be 1 male and 5 females but obviously they mis-sexed one of the females cuz its a boy! very sparse toe feathering, but i wasnt expecting miracles from hatchery birds, they are all happy and healthy!
so turns out i have 2 cockerals and 4 pullets (supposed to be 1-5) i cant wait for them to grow more! they are only a few weeks old, and i have some eggs in the mail on their way to my incubator! hopefully they ship well.
well i guess it wont take to long for me to know what the sexes of the 6 remaining are, i beleave the roos get dark quite soon. If the one dead one was my roo, i should be able to find another locally, probably nicer to.
im now the proud owner of 6 faverolle chicks!! got my hatchery order today, got 7 but 1 was very weak and already passed, with my luck that was the 1 rooster i ordered!
