    Can anyone tell me how to calm my D'uccles down...they are sooo flighty. I spend as much time with them as the other chickens, (speckled sussex,EE's, Faverolles, Cochins) and they are all very gentle, but the D'Uccles are crazy as a bed bug...I am thinking about just getting rid of them, but...

    I have the Mille Fleur D'Uccles, at the beginning of last summer I had 6, by the end I had 27..they lay and lay and lay and then the hens will go broody all the time. I actually had 2 hens go broody 2 times each and hatch out several each time...I also ended up giving lots of the birds away...
