Oh- I hope if either of mine are roos that at least they are sweet so maybe I can keep them. I think they are between 3-4 weeks old- ish. (I have had them for 3 weeks now)

Thank you lauriruth and rhs7111! I am crossing my fingers for lauriruths prediction (and rhs7111 now I will be watching those rows on Umbers comb hopeful that the side rows subside against the odds)! Will letcha both know how it all comes out. At what age will I likely know for sure in an EE?

I hatched 3 EEs one has always looked like a hen & the other two look alike except they are colored different~and now only one of them crows ! Good Luck !
2/3 hens- not bad! I could almost handle that- most scared of ending up w 2 roos.

Thank you Kassaundra- I have my fingers crossed for your first guess! I have to say dear Umber's name has already been lenghthended by my family after I shared your post. Her full name Umber Winkle (mother is Tiggy Winkle) has now been expanded to Umber Iffy-Winkle

Lol!!
I did the same thing... Stared and studied my chicks trying so hard to determine who was a hen and who was a roo. (all 16 were sold to me as hens) Now I know why it was so hard to figure out who was a roo...they were all hens. Lol!!! Hope yours are too!
Edited for spelling..argh...
Are these EEs girls or are they boys? (The feedstore had gotten them sexed as female from the hatchery and sold them to me as girls... but I know this is no guarentee and I am getting nervous- after staring obsesively at the helpful images in this forum I see roo charateristics in my breakfast...
