I know what you mean! If the legs were a different color, she would not be SOP for that. It is funny how things like leg color make such a difference in breed definition. Yes, for EEs, Black Australorp, RIR, Barred Rock and etc, white is a bad color. Not for Silver Grey Dorkings .

Hi Nelson-90 I live in Woodland CA and it is often hot here in the summer. Many of us have misters set up for the hot days. Home depot and OSH sell ones that connect to a garden hose. In my post about this I said plain yougurt, does nothing nutritionally, and that I give the chicks and chickens a little bit. They do not digest it and too much is bad for them. Also, anything that is a treat like this, even when good for them can hurt them. Scratch is another example. Ok...

Your Welcome! When the just hatched chicks get pasty bottom, I give them Chick Grit and let the eat plain yogurt from a spoon. I do not give them much yogurt since they don't digest it. they perk up quickly. For the big girls I give them a pack of save a chick pro biotics once a week. I also...

Yogurt does nothing nutritionally but is good for the pro biotics. I suspect you can do as well by giving them pro biotics. some vitamins have it and there is a new save a chick that has it. Mine love to eat yogurt. Ron

You have beautiful Pullets and will have nice green and blue eggs. Colors are wrong(boys would be redder at the wings) and cockerels have more rows on the comb. Combs would be bigger and redder too. Ron
