they are my own breed I had made by a professional breeder...they are white but lay jumbo brown eggs 6-7 times a week from Easter to Halloween (or depending on temp) and thank you for the compliment.

I buy industrial size bags of oyster shell and they last for months. I'd say per bird give 1 pound of shell (roosters included) per week-two weeks but at the moment a 50 lb bag lasts me a little less than 5 months with my adult birds. It will be reduced when I move in my chicks.
