    So since I know for sure I have a Roo, I shouldn't be feeding layer mash? The place I bought it from said it would be fine to give it to Roos and to put oyster shell in the run as well. She said she has always fed hers layer mash and has never had a problem. I never know what advice to follow. LOL

    Mine at the most were 3 weeks a part in age, but at the time I mix mine one was 2 weeks and the others were 4 and 5 weeks. I kept a close eye on them of course and they did fine. Never had a problem. From what I've read is it's best if they are close in size. This way little ones don't get trampled.

    Well in the evenings he is always in the same place tucked under the ramp against the coop. I'll see about making the ramp longer.     I'm not worried about day time crowing. We are allowed to have chickens where I'm at even though the houses are about 20 ft a part.
