    That sounds about right to me.i would like to breed SOP one day, I am taking baby steps. I have an idea of the set up I would like to build but before I do I am testing the waters to see about size and space needed for such a project. I would love to show, but the traveling is too much right now...

    Bren and I are still studying I thought understanding the genetics would be difficult, it it a bit more so through a Silkie crest! Lots of great info here thank you to all who have shared their knowledge. I wish more of the pics had been retained.

    I have been on the bonkers road myself a bit, one mans silver is another's gray, one mans gray is another mans lavender. And don't get me started on calico :eek: I did know when I bought him that he was not a red. And his tail still needs sone TLC.:hugs I am not sure he is an "Approved " color?

    My Bantam roo is in with my standards. Actually I only have bantam roos but have 3 now with more developing as we speak I think 10 Chicks for Christmas this year. Gift from the Ladies out back I am thinking about mixing the flocks now since I will need the room

    Yes the Silkies and Cochin are from Ideal I was not sure which ones I would like better so I did and experiment from Ideal to see. I love the Frizzled frizzle cochin she is sooo soo soft. I still dont know which I prefer They are both great gentle breeds.
