Gee, not sure whether that makes me feel better or not.
Besides, Lil' Bit is half-blind. She only makes contact between her beak and my hand when she's trying NOT to peck my hand. You should see how many hits my roo takes to his face when he's trying to beak feed her. He's learned...

Yep. She wanted to sit on the nest this morning, she missed out on the bread treat. I didn't hand deliver her some to the nest like I usually do.

If I shipped her to you she'd go broody and STAY broody the day she arrived...

Lil' Bit abandoned her nest this morning in favor of a banana. Something told me she wasn't gonna stick with it. Can I be allowed to rejoin the club now?

But she's so darn funny. Lil' Bit is normally a sweetheart, but she's turned into the hen from you know where. You don't even have to walk near the nestbox to get growled out; just sticking your head in the coop door will get you growled at. With her being half-blind she's not taking...

Still not gonna order silkies though Although I might pick up a few at Atwoods the day before my hatchery chicks arrive.

Well Lil' Bit didn't come out for bread this morning. Bread is her absolute favorite food. Gotta start thinking about which dog kennel I'll use to segregate her I guess. I just gave the preferred kennel away to my DSD.

Well to my way of thinking if you don't have fertile eggs for her and don't intend to get any for her, it's best to try and break her broodiness, as being broody is hard on their little bodies.
There's a ton of threads on breaking a broody. You can find them by using the search feature...

Which ear problem are we talking about? We have so many in this house it's hard to keep track. We have cats that lick dogs ears, dogs that lick cats ears, cats to cats, dogs to dogs, the dogs put at least one new hole in DH's ear lobe a day, Kane trying to get his ears up, and to top...

Just don't let her set on her own eggs. I'm still hoping for one here, but it is a dual edged sword for sure. My egg production has dropped by a third the last two days so I'm pretty sure I have some renegades hiding a nest o'rr two. If it's not raining tomorrow I think I'll go sit out...
