Yesterday, Escambia County passed its chicken ordinance allowing backyard chickens in residential zones. It's been a good 6 month battle for me and over a year for others now but we've achieved success!

That's how we learn from our mistakes! ;) I just have inherent distrust of politicians. There need to be term limits in place and there should never be professional politicians, but I'm not here to start a political debate, I get more than my share of that at work! :)
It seems I'm in District 1, so I'll be calling Wilson Robertson on Tuesday morning. My coworker and his family who also keep chickens live in District 4, so I'll talk to them as well. I have friends in District 2 who keep chickens as well and so do their neighbors so I'll make sure they know too.
