I got the hen for free from someone on Craigslist. I was told she is a Silkie but I immediately knew she wasn't just by look at her. I got the rooster for free from my grandmother. He is the offspring on her original stock which she bought from a neighbor. The only chickens she has are Silkies.

My hen doesn't have feathers on her feet. There are quite a few loose feathers in the pen and she happened to be standing on them. Also she doesn't have 5 toes, she only has 4 toes and her feet are more of a light gray than black. Hard to tell from the pics.

I can understand them being pet quality but I don't see how they are mixed. My rooster looks just like this pic I found on Feathersite. And my hen looks a lot more like this first pic than the second pic.

I am a beginner and I have a black Silkie rooster and a black Sumatra hen and I'd like to know how good the quality is on them. Are they pet quality, breeding quality, or show quality? If you could tell me and explain your decision that would be great. Thanks
