Who else is waiting the impossible wait?
Well, my final wait was for a 4 egg day - one from each of the girls. This morning around 9:30 I got one green egg and then when I just got home a few minutes ago there were 3 more! I thought only one of my EEs was a green egg layer because the ones I had gotten previously from the smallest...- Yay Chicks!

I'm actually giving away a half dozen eggs today. My first egg gifting (I didn't have a whole dozen). I tell ya, it's a little hard to part with them- Yay Chicks!

Ewww.....Fart egg??? What the heck is that? Never heard that term before. I trust that someone will correct me if I get this wrong, but a "fart egg" is just a little, tiny egg. Sometimes there is actually a yolk in it and sometimes not. Pullets will lay all kinds of strange variations on eggs...- Yay Chicks!

Gallinamama, how old are your pullets? I don't have roosters, but I've read where some people with pick up a dominating rooster and carry him around under their arm just to show him who is boss. You want to make sure he knows you are the head chicken!- Yay Chicks!

Featherz, I've got one that has laid two cracked ones, plus a membrane with no shell and this morning a broken egg with a tissue thin shell on the poop board this morning. She has the same feed and oyster shell as the other. But she is also the smallest. So, I am assuming glitch and hoping...- Yay Chicks!

Countrygirl, your BR's faces are getting nice and red. My BR's comb was taller and floppier when she began laying last week. Don't know if that's always the case tho...- Yay Chicks!

Yay Chickenprincess! Sometimes they practice the song before they actually lay. And sometimes the other ones will sing along with the one that is laying. Sometimes they do it when they are startled. But it all means that you are getting closer- Yay Chicks!

New layers dont lay every day do they?? I have 5 that are ready. So much depends not only on the breed, but on the individual chicken. My Buff Orpington has only missed two days since she started laying last Wednesday. I don't really expect an egg every day from her even when she is at full...- Yay Chicks!

So, as of yesterday, all four have laid an egg. Buffy has been laying every day except for one and her egg was almost full size today. My green egg laying EE who laid last Friday has not laid since (I'm hearing that this can be normal). The BR laid her first egg yesterday which was kinda pale...- Yay Chicks!
