MY impossible wait is OVA!! Ta-Da!! Found it today at 4:30, just 5 minutes after I heard the egg song. It was still warm, in the nest that I never thought they even LOOKED AT! If someone was around, they would've thought I was crazy..I was so excited! :weee I don't know who laid it...- pookiegoldman

Tomorrow the girls turn 21 weeks. I'm starting to give up hope. Here's what I've got: 4 cochins, 3 polish, BO, Australorp, Lakenvelder, SS Hamburg, 2 Yokohamas, SP Phoenixes, White Rock, couple of Delawares, a few Golden Comets, Cherry Egger, 2 unidentified girls. 19 weeks and blood red faces also. I know I shouldn't have expected them to be already laying but I'm so excited that they're getting close! I heard the beginning of the "egg song" today but no squatting and they will not go near the nest boxes.- pookiegoldman

Got 15 hens (different breeds) that are all 21 weeks old, and NOTHING!!! It's sooo hard waiting! I just built them a nice semi-enclosed community nesting box but they havent gone in yet- pookiegoldman
