so todays my birthday, and i woke up to a great suprise! went outside and found that last night a fox(s) came through and took 12, 3 month old chickens out of one of my pens. they left me 14 in that pen. ate all my spitzhaubens and a bunch of marans. im certain it were fox because of the looks...
got home from work yesterday and one of my broody hens was in the yard just sittin there. my wife thought she got run off the nest, but when she picked her up to help her back onto her nest, bout 3 chicks fell out from under its wings. spring has sprung!
