Thank yoy everyone for your helpful information. Today there were no maggots. I was also able to remove the last of the necraudic tissue. She is still eating and drinking, pooping and layed an egg today. Swelling is getting better.

We live in rural Arkansas so no limits here, we currently have 20 chickens. My question is if anyone has any silver laced wyandotte eggs or chicks for sale? I would love a rooster and a few hens.
Well yesterday was the first real introduction of your 8 smaller birds to our 12 bigger ones. We are hoping to move them all to same coop in a couple of weeks. There were a few pecks on the head yesterday but for the mist part they did fine.
