So I forgot to post on this. Seven of the eight were not fertile which is not bad with seven hens, on this hatch.

WOW!! :jumpy 30 out of 38 BCM and OE, The photos are of the eggs thay hatched out of and the father Roo!! Sooo, adorable!!

30 out of 38 hatched:jumpy That is a 79% hatching rate :celebrate BCM and OE. One had a hard time getting out and pipped all the way around and didn't make it:hu . But other than that not to bad. I will check the other eggs and see if there were feartal.

I put 38 eggs in the incubator 22 days ago, BCM and OE. I now have 22 babies hatched and a lot more have pipped! A wonderful success rate. I've done a lot of reading on incubating and it seems that the darker colored eggs do much better with less humidity and warmer temperature. I did 25% to 40%...

I should probably add that these are all the same Roo in these photos except for the fourth Photo is his brother.

The fourth one down has two Roos, the one on the left is the brother and the one you want a close up of is in all the photos.

That Roo is same one in every photo. The third one down has two in it, their brothers.

This is the eggs and the babies I'm hatching out now. BCM and OE some of my eggs are between 7 and 8 on the color card.
