Lots of them have the brown/copper/red undertone, though its not visible unless you take a second look, instead of just a glance. She's very much meshed, as far as color, with no distinct seperation from hackle to body feathers (which means she's not proper color, correct?)
Here's some...
Any chance yall can give a quick critique of my BCM (I think pullet!) She's about 9wks old, give or take a day or two
I know this last one aint the greatest, but it gives a good idea on her stance, if that makes any difference
Not lookin to get into breeding or showing, though I did pick...
Pinkchicks- I'm just curious as to a definite breed/gender? She IS a sweetie... when I can catch her I'm SO hoping she's a pullet I have 2 other chicks, ones a definite Marans, and I think the other one is too, both gold laced (or penciled?) Her and a sibling I handpicked, so, hopefully...
Ok, so I said I'd post pictures yesterday... got busy, sorry!!! Here's some better pictures of my chick in question... It looks like she's got some copper comin through
And as you can see, she was being pitiful. Soon as she settled in Hubbys lap, she just about rolled over and snoozed...

just posted on the other thread. Is it possible that she is a mix? wyandotte/marans? the chick looks to have lacing in diff. color. That is why I ask. Could just be pic? very cute though.
I saw ya did, thanks!!!
Those pics are about a week or so old. I will try and get some better...
Ok, Marans folks... help? Marans chick? Pullet? Blue Maran? Got her from a local breeder, she's approx 5wks old, big bodied, good temperment, very even coloring, though still fairly fluffy
