    He is gorgeous isn't he?! Let's face it, a bit of variation amongst continents is a good thing, although I see him as a Blue, I see him as a Blue I want to get imported right here, right now, right in my flock lol

    He is very nice indeed, and that colour over a Black? As we say here 'scrumptious'!! As for type, he is a very English type. So many of the US ones can turn out rather light in the body. I like them big and blousy and he is that!

    Ah ha it appears I was right - why do I doubt myself?! ha ha! He is a lovely bird, rebel but far closer to what we in the UK would call a Blue due to his dark blue cape rather than a Splash cockerel. This is a good link to have a look at showing the UK standard colours...

    Thanks rebel yell! The Buffs are a little 'orange' for the show judges here in the uk, they prefer them to be more on the beige side but hey ho!

    Thanks all! Well I'm rather hoping to have a Porcelain outcome, although one never knows what you'll end up with! I'm glad you like my cockerel, I had a rather lucky bargain there with him and his wife. I saw them advertised as 'two young speckled orpingtons' - I googled and couldn't come up...
