Hi Joy, Straw is probably sold where you buy feed. Hay may be cheaper so you may want to consider it. That would allow you to buy from a local farmer for a bit less than the feed store.

The dome is plastic as I used a Brinsea Mini incubator. Mostly what you would see now are the chicks hiding under the Brinsea EcoGlow in the brooder.

The black ones were taken at night when the lights are off. I may be leaving it on tonight though.
