Straw is probably sold where you buy feed. Hay may be cheaper so you may want to consider it. That would allow you to buy from a local farmer for a bit less than the feed store.
There are a total of 10 chicks. They are now all in the new brooder I made. Still a clear plastic bin but a bigger one with at 1/4 inch hardware screen top. They can get on top of the EcoGlow now so I don't want them hopping out of the brooder! I also gave them a dish of sand to bathe in...
Goat is more digestible but, when I wrote any, I meant cow and goat. I still have to test sheep and water buffalo but I want to give her body a little break. She still seems to be reacting to something else that I am trying to track down. Hopefully she'll outgrow these issues!

Just popping in to say hi! I've got ducks and guineas with a plan to get quail soon. I'm allergic to chicken eggs so I've never had them. If you know of anyone local with Coturnix quail I'd love to talk to them!
