    The little bugger dug a tunnel under the bricks and then under the fence and went in through the pop door. I had thought that I had buried the chicken wire (fence) and bricks deep enough to guard against that. At least now he is permantly relocated and won't be coming back......

    Not a good day. Got home from work to find that someone had run over one of my girls and never had the decency to stop and let us know. Also had a stinken coon break into my coop with my little ones and killed a young pullet. Not a good week so far.....

    Well all my girls made it through the worst weather could throw at em. With no heat lamp what so ever and they all continued to lay right straight through, what troopers. AND no Frostbite. I will tell you all the truth was a little worried with the 36 below temp and all.

    Hello all, Just started a small flock of 5 BR's and 3 Buff Orp's earlier this year. They have just started to lay and even with the low light are giving from 3-4 eggs a day. Glad I found this site it has a lot of info for first timer's. Oh yeah I live in Holland, Vt.
