dark cornish are (should) be very distinct chipmunk type, some are a tad less well marked and those tend to be to light
I believe dark cornish are E+ with a columbian marker...but i could be wrong
Wheaton chicks are born bright yellow, no striping. A Black Breasted Red although many are...
Cedar he came from a local man here who raises mostly whites for his own table, he told me he got the birds from a friend, and has had them at least 20 yrs
well since i read this thread all the time, and you guys have been quiet lately, here are some bad pics of my start in LF darks, sorry for the bad camera pics...not perfect by any means but i think the cockerel and hen are strong in each others weak points...time will tell...look forward to...

some one asked for a pic of a cornish with a pearl eye not a great picture (she wiggles) but this is a 2011 white laced red hen , bantam,she was mated with a orange eyed cock bird this year and hatched out 24 chicks, interestingly the pullets appear pearl eyed at this point while the cockerals...
