Hopefully wild violet leaves are ok? They love them but not sure if it's good for the chickens.
They are in an enclosed run so the only greens they get are what I give them I.e. grass, dandelions, etc.
I gave them two hard cobs of corn and they were afraid. Lol. They just stretched out their necks to look making that scared cluck sound. I thought it would give them something to do as they are picking out each others feathers! !
Kale in a suet cage so they have to work at it. They love it as well as bok choy. I only give every other day.
Bth, their butts are feathering in. Must have been a molting thing.
Too many treats will spoil them. They look at you with hungry eyes! I gave my 11 girls bok choy in a small suet cage so they could work away at it. They loved it.
Styrofoam. ...oops. My husband was putting in some to keep out drafts but a few little pieces fell. They grabbed it and I went chasing them and got most but a couple ate some little pieces. I hope it won't hurt them.
I held out a very ripe pear for them yesterday. They LOVED it. They took turns pecking at it and eating the little bits. They didn't tear it out of my hand like I thought they would. Just carefully picked at it. It was their FIRST pear.
