Mine got one stuck in her throat and almost choked to death on them. They are also an intermediate host for parasitic worms. Minel love them too though.
i have done the cabbage from a string in the ceiling in the winter time and they were pretty funny about it. But it didnt really move that much. I missed it I am sure. Put it out at 8AM, and by 5:30 it was non existant.
Mine got a half a cantalope, a container of Lactaid cottage cheese and two bananas!!!!! (cleaned out my fridge....) they are such happy spoiled babies.
pickles?????? HOW did you get them to eat them???? i periodically pick up McDonalds cheeseburgers for the girls (only on a special occasion) and they eat everything BUT the pickles. I have watched 'Bird fling one like it was a rubber plate from his beak. I swear he said 'yeuch!'.

mine got an entire 9 X 12 pan of Rhubarb cobbler this morning for breakfast. I was even nice enough to nuke it for them. (I made it yesterday and it stunk). They wouldnt eat it either.....
When I get in, i will let them out to free range until dark. They go over to the neighbors who leaves...
