I am glad i got some to. It's been a "fun" (to say the least). Yes over a Year now. That's crazy, the only flocks in NA right now are in Canada (and you could count the breeder flocks on less then two hands...)

They are 1) getting a lot findler and trying to get out when i feed them
I am thinking i have about 2 cockerels and 3 pullets ( i hope that is the case )
They are Getting bigger!

Here are some new pictures. I am wondring if any one raise Buff's of any breed, do they almost a "Buff Molttling" to them? or is this one a mottled Buff? I think the Chicks are about 4-5 weeks old now... I have included some pictures of Light Sussex/ Yellow cross. The LS/HY cross weigh about 1/2...

Does Hungry ( how do you spell it?) have many now? I think low hatch rate is because of inbreeding, last fall this time i set 60 eggs and got one chick... that chick died 24 hours later so.... i need to "study" them.

That i don't know. The first eggs were brought here by some students going to the UofS i think 40 years ago... So back then import /Export was not nearly as hard.
So i think a few members here have fallowed the slow process of me getting Hungarian Yellow chickens.... I have a BIG update, i have succeed in getting myself 7 two week old chicks. The Prof. is coming up next thurs day and will be bring them then. Needless to say i am over joyed. Almost a year...
