Well, in the whole scheme of things, it's okay, as I have the dozen replacement call duck eggs, too! And, in a few weeks, the seller for the butterscotch calls will ship those (too cold at auction time).
AND the four I have right now are SUCH sillies, they just might be enough for me...
I got the replacement dozen call duck eggs for the dozen that didn't do diddly. I let them rest two days and will set them tonight.
Plus, I have those "second chance offer" call duck eggs I accidentally agreed to buy still coming.
What the heck am I doing? My four call ducks are already...
Just wanted to share a picture of my four call ducks all swimming together. Usually it's just one little white one, and the others are mudding around the kiddie pool.
AND I got a second chance offer on those call duck eggs!!!

I just won a call duck auction on ebay
And you are forgiven for outbidding me, too, because of the crested duck thing in your rationale AND because the seller for my failed hatch is replacing the eggs. A dozen call duck eggs. So there.

Uh...... I bid on 'em.
Sowwwy. You can outbid me if you wish. I hadn't seen that one before... It was the vodka making me click on it.
ETA: my rationale
So, not a great photo, but this is my drake call duck.
Here's a shot of 3 of the four.
The little white ones each have a dropped wing, which worries me. But they're healthy, otherwise. One has the left wing dropped, the other has the right wing dropped. One of the whites is the "flock"...
OH, I bid on something and was outbid. Not gonna go higher. Almost did. There will be time to get more eggs, so sayeth the typist before the vodka takes over.
You've heard of DUI? Try TUI. Typing under the influence.
Sideways post: I have just learned - in time! - not to cruise the hatching egg auctions on BYC after having imbibed my favorite alcoholic beverage.

Thats what I'm here to do is "Help"
Ha! I had the idea MYSELF, on Friday when I visited GoodWill! I just had to think on it a while to tell myself I needed to follow up. After I finish my coffee, I'm heading out.
My first ducks are a Cayuga pair. I love them. Gorgeous, big, and QUIET ducks. The drake, Louie, has been showing the calls how to do ducky things, when his wife Thelma is off somewhere. She shows up and he forgets his affection for the little duckies.
