My little runt finally passed. She was 14 days old and still the size of a newborn. Sad to watch, but I was neglecting and not enjoying the 24 big ones that did make it. Now I can enjoy all the chicks !

I just moved my 25 into two plastic tubs. I put the weaker, runty ones all in the smaller tubs- now they have a bigger chance to get at the food. And also not get stepped on. Now running to Walmart for another heating lamp. I have two smaller ones- think they are silver laced wyandottes...

Magoochie, That is what is happening with my little polish crested. He is laying there, half dead, while the others step all over him. I keep giving him sugar water, but not much response.

Wow, first experience with new chicks. Have a weak one- the polish crested special chick. Every few minutes, stick his little beak in the electrolyte water, All the rest are doing well. If I could figure out how to put in the pics I would.

You guys are the best with advice. I just called the PO and she said she didn't hear any chicks, but two more trucks are coming in any minute. It is 6:25 am here. Can't believe they even answered the phone!! Ok, another cup of coffee then! Will keep you posted.

Still waiting for the call. I could barely sleep all night. Brooder in heating, I am dressed, coffee in me and I am ready to go to the Post Office. Please call soon.

Magoochie, I am with you. No call all day today and sat in the house all day waiting. Will probably get the call Monday am. It is warm here in Southern Calif -70ish- that is in the chicks favor. Hope we both have good news tomorrow.

Classicsredone, I have gone to the PO and called them today- they are alert for my chicks and will call as soon as they come in, even on a Sunday. I even offered to pick them up at the distribution center, but doubt that will happen. I hope they come on Sunday, will keep you all posted.

OMG, I just checked McMurray website and I saw a tracking number next to my order. My heart almost stopped, jumped up and ran and told my husband to expect a call. Upon further inspection, I found McMurray had only issued the number and they had not officially shipped yet, but surely it will...
