A friend of mine is thinking of doing the COD for blue eyed whites. She has had a gorgeous little doe who took multiple Best of Breeds even with stiff competition. Now she has another.....and that original BEW is due with her first litter this week.....
Ok, I lied. Pointed white doe with snippet on nose is taken. Both black bucks and 1 other pointed white doe are now available. No pedigrees, pet quality only. Will be at Sparta TN show sometime between 8:30 and 9, silver dodge ram. $20 each.
Isn't she gorgeous? I would keep her but her ears are longer than I like in my breeding stock.
These are all pet quality culls from a top show breeder...not my own stock although related to some of mine I'm sure I just took them as I figured I could sell as pets right before christmas...
chicken shows are free to enter, will be tons of birds for sell outside as always.
These are pet quality lionheads, no pedigree. $20 each. Super cute and fluffy though, and probably still a lot nicer than a lot that you see sold.
I believe the buck on the right is already taken.
Doe #1...
Anyone going to the Sparta TN show this weekend? Not sure it counts as middle tennessee, but close! LOL
I will be there to SELL only.....with 1 New Hamp rooster, 3 leghorn/cochin POL/laying Pullets and 3 Lionhead babies, 1 buck, 2 does.

Yep, she was pretty sorry looking. I only bought her cause I felt sorry for her.....figured I would "rehab" her over the summer and decide what to do with her after that. She was really done well here, I just don't have much for her....
I was at that show for rabbits today and checked out teh poultry show. There were a whopping two bantam cochins shown. A mille fleur rooster with vulture hocks who got Reserve of Variety.......and a black (hen? cant remember) with WHITE ear lobes and no fluff who got best of breed. I was aghast...

I'll take the black mottled if you want to throw him in there I am pretty sure I am going to split my flock into 2 to 3 smaller ones, so I am "auditioning" new roosters
What are you asking for the splash guy?
alright I would love to have your mottled chicks plus the 3 hens....or 2 hens and 1 blue mottled pullet rather. What are you asking for each? Or rather, what is my lionhead doe worth to you? Lol.
How many mottledchicks are there? Maybe we can work out a lionhead for mottled chickens trade. Love the hens. The mottled broody looks just like the one I got from you last year......I'm growing up 7 mottled chicks currently but would love to have a great batch for next years' shows and breeding.
Alright gimme pix! I have been considering selling off part of my mottled flock....but now I'm not so sure. Considering keeping a few just for breeding, giving them a major chop cut and showing the others.
Ignore the seriously dusty cobwebby coop...the shavings are clean
Did I ever show...
The broken chestnut doe? She is gazillion maned! LOL. She is just over 2.5 years old and still has pretty decent mane which seems hard to find. The lady who owned her prior to me gave her a bad haircut, so she is still growing back.
Here she was a month ago.
And the other day. Its growing...
Hey Holly, how much for the mottled cochin chicks? There is a fair show in Lebanon August 13th, I think....doing the rabbit show and not the poultry show. Therefore, if you need a broken chestnut lionhead doe that is a great breeder (although thin), hit me up So I could pick up chicks after the...
I didn't read the whole story, so dont know any backstory....but usually they loose belly/chest feathers when broody. Could she be broody? Or just coming out of it?
