Raven1: thank you CarolJ: I hope so too - I know they won't replace Dude but I know how cheerful new chicks are & how exited my daughter gets over them since we raise them for several weeks inside.

Sad day yesterday - Huge red-tail hawk flew into the coop through a small opening in the netting & killed/ate my daughter's favorite chicken "Dude" she was a very sweet & docile white crested black polish. Still can't belive the hawk had the guts to come into the enclosure after a full grown...
