I actually was able to get 12 Brahma chicks today - 5 dark, 5 buff and 2 light. Suppose to be all pullets. Next I will be looking for a Room.

Oh my are they, I have 7 more turkey eggs to hatch. So far out of 12 first eggs 10 hatched but 2 of them died. So I have 8 live poults and 8 more eggs to go. Then I will start hatching chickens again. It never ends. I am thinking how to break it to hubby I want a cabinet incubator.

WhooHoo my first Turkey hatched out today! I have 20 more eggs to go over the course of 3 weeks.

We lost power up here on the mountain about 2:30 am on the 21st of Feb. We got it back about 4:30 pm the 28th of Feb so 7 days and 14 hours with no power. I had about 50 chicks in the brooders. Fortunately we have a small generator and were able to keep switching things to keep us all warm...
