ChooksMan. Here are some egg pics. Her egg is the spotted one. I think the first pic is a more accurate representation of the color as the last was slightly shadowed. This is in comparison to an Australorp, Leghorn and Easter Egger egg.
THANKS SO MUCH!!! What a great detailed response Chooks man. I'll take all the photos you suggested tomorrow and post them. She has pretty amber-colored eyes. She came out of a dark brown egg. It wasn't as dark as I'd hoped but dark nonetheless. I wish I had measured it on the color scale...
Would someone be willing to rate the qualities of my 27-week-old BCM pullet? I took a video of her so that you could see her from some different angles. THANKS!
YOUTUBE VIDEO:
Little Peddler Line.
She has two sisters from the same hatch that have no copper. One has featherless feet and...
Ahhhhh. Interesting. Thanks. So is it likely that if they don't have copper by now (11 wks) there probably not gonna get it?
Luckily I'm not breeding them, just eating their eggs. ;)
How long does it usually take for Marans pullets to get their copper. I have three 11-week olds and only one has copper on her neck and she's had it for a month now. The others are all black with a green iridescence but not even a hint of copper.
Thanks Skrlis for taking the time to look! I can't believe it. So happy and relieved. Funny how out of the eggs that I hatched all 3 BCMs turned out female and all 3 Olive Eggers turned out male.
Would any of you BCM experts be willing to sex my 7.5 week old chicks? Pretty please? I just posted their pics and info in the breed and gender section:

I just wanted to update you all. I finally on your suggestion contacted the woman I got the eggs from. The verdict is that the blue chick is a Fauvacana! (Faverolle Roo over Ameraucana).
Well here's the deal:
I ordered
3 BCM (dark brown eggs) and
3 Olive Eggers (hatched out of blue eggs).
She threw in an extra one of each for good measure.
- The BCMs = pure Little Peddler
- The OEs = Welsummer Rooster over any of her following hens (Cream Easter Egger / Blue Ameraucana /...
Here is a video of her feet taken today:
Here is a pic of the extra toe from when she was a few days old. Not the best angle. Any guess on pullet or roo?
OOOOOH I hope you're right. That was the next thing I was going to ask. 2 of my other BCMs look just like her so there's no point in posting pics but we have a 3rd that looks different but not necessarily more Roo-ish. JoJo is much lighter in color, like a grey that almost seems to have a lacey...
I have four 3-week old black copper marans chicks that I hatched under a broody. The woman I got them from said they are from the Little Peddler Line. Three out of the four have a black comb. What does this mean exactly to those of you with BCM experience? Do you they will grow out of them...
