Ok, I just sold off my entire faulty flock as"dark layers". Now I'm going lurk, learn as much as I can, and get a better start next time

Well, it's time to see what kind of genes Tucker carries. He's been separated with the girls for a week or so now (girls were separated sooner). Joining the new years hatch a long with their eggs. Well see how the babies turn out

Are those Jenny's BCM? I need to start over, and I know she has some, but don't know where she got them from. All she says is the eggs cost a fortune, but she hasn't said where she got them. Those chicks look good. Most of mine hatch with not nearly that much white, and the darkest ones grow out to have way too much color on their necks. The ones with the most white downy feathers look more correct

She has two sisters from the same hatch that have no copper. One has featherless feet and the other has feathered feet but with white feathers miixed in.

Dan, jenny has some GORGEOUSLY dark eggs. U should see them...I didn't see the hens, but the eggs are 8s or 9s...super dark
