I've had enough. People spitting assumptions as if they are fact is getting out of hand. I come here for education. If there is something said that isn't true, I appreciate knowing before I totally screw up my birds. I have gotten birds from Stang, Terry and Diane. I have gotten equipment...

Okay, now I'm about to jump on my soap box. I would've reported them. I'm about fed up with the way people treat their dogs. Tommy has hunting dogs that are outside. I have Zeb inside and now this puppy. Tommy gets dogs, trains them and then sells them. We go through about 8 dogs a year. He...

So what did the people do when you started screaming? They probably thought you had lost your mind. I would have gone bonkers and put a sign up at the road that read "walk your dogs on a leash."

Well, one of our silver laced wyandottes got froggy yesterday and decided the dogs weren't scary. She just took her little tail right up to one and he got her. This just confirms my theory that my birds are brain damaged. After a whole year, why would she be so stupid? It makes me sad because I...

Are you so proud that you might as well have laid the egg yourself? That is how I felt. And I photographed it and sent it to all my friends and family like we had a new baby.

No not yet. They are my last group to be laying. I expect maybe March. They are too funny. They are getting braver. We saw them starting to venture down the driveway. They almost got down to the road (which is a good way when Tommy shooooo'd them back). Jimminie doesn't crow. I figure it is...

The "Mystery of the Missing Guinea" has been solved. We have a huge red tailed hawk that has made a home in our lower front yard. Now, I am afraid of the free-ranging.

I will speak this about the guineas: I don't have a problem letting my chickens free range all day unsupervised with the guineas around. They will yell when hawks fly over or anything is around and alert the chickens to run.

Before you get guineas, you might go speak to your neighbors. Explain that they are going to rid the neighborhood of bugs and ticks. If they are down with it, go for it. If they hesitate, I wouldn't do it. They are more fun to watch than even the chickens. The man that we got our chicks from...

We discovered a guinea nest in the field next to the house this morning. I honestly didn't think this would happen until March because it was so cold. This explains my missing guinea. They nest and don't get up. They are prone to predators when nesting. So I assume something came out of the...

You keep them in a designated area for a period of time, then you let them out in small spurts. Eventually, you can let them range all day, and they will put themselves up at night. Never get a guinea that is older than two weeks old. And they are noisy, but they are so cute to watch. And they...

One of my guineas didn't come home. They have been dropping eggs, and I know if they are fertile they will hide somewhere. But it is too cold to be sitting on eggs on the ground. Kind of worried.

Your chickens are healthy looking. I love to see chickens ranging with their fluff butts up in the air. We are maxed on the roosters. We have one for each breed.

Looks like it might be an hour an a half - but to get cows and camels....I'd do it. Can I in-box you with my phone number and maybe come one day next week when it is convenient for you? What kind of cattle do you have? My mom has black angus. I really didn't want to do a solid black cow.
