    Havent been in the forum for quite a while but i have an update from my previous broodies. My turkey hen managed to hatch 8 little poults out of the 15 eggs she had while the other hatched 2 poults out of 5 eggs but unfortunately one died. I am up to 17 Bronze turkeys now

    My two broodies share a nest and today the first turkey poult hatched.There are 3-4 more turkey eggs under them and 1-2 chicken eggs that I am sure are infertile.

    I AM ON FIRE! 14 eggs in the bator. 10 or so eggs under the 2 broodies. 3 poults that are not even a week old. 10 chicks and 2 poults that are 6 weeks old. And my rest flock of 19 chickens and 4 turkeys. DAMN!

    Some posts ago I said I had 2 broodies... SCRATCH THAT.THEIR 5!!! 2 of them are in the same nest and they share at least 10 eggs. The other 2 sit on nothing and the last turkey hen made her own nest and I cant locate her.

    You're telling me... If you asked me 2 months ago I would KILL for a broody hen. Now I have two broodies and no fertile eggs because I don't have a mature rooster yet.

    Yes you can.If she doesnt accept them place them in your brooder (if you have any) or under the other hen. Good Luck!

    About broody #2 I think its still early to put some chicks from your incubator under her.You say its day 15 for her.I think that 3 weeks must past and then you can put some.I am not sure though.

    I always use straw.I dont like hay.Plus straw is easier for me to find.You could also use some old clothing too like sweaters.It works!

    I know but he rarely does it I mean I have only seen him doing it 2 times.The funny thing is HE IS PRACTISING When he finds like a rock or something he stimulates it with a hen and he tries to find his balance and he is doing the exact same thing as if he was on the hen.Its hilarious...

    Tom is approximately 9 months old.I hate it that he waits for the hens permission to work on her while the rooster literally r***s the chickens.

    Hey everyone I have a little update for you. My father opened up the eggs(2 of them exploded )and what he saw was something like green slime.And some eggs had something brown like poo as he said.Could it be an early forming embryo?

    I think it depends on the hen.Some may stay some may not.Depends if they are first timers etc.
