It seems like we chicken folks are constantly waiting. Waiting for eggs to hatch. Waiting for juveniles to grow up and get their adult feathers. Waiting for pullets' first eggs. Waiting for said eggs to become fertile. Wait, wait, wait! Hang in there!

Hmmm....I'm no expert, but if she seems to want to lay in someone else's clutch, then I would think that means she's not broody herself. I have read on here where folks can "entice" a hen who has been broody before to go broody again when the timing is better, but it seems like if they're good...

From what I've read on this thread, it seems highly unlikely that she'll accept them, but you could always try, and have a back-up brooder ready just in case. Sounds like they really need to be day olds to be accepted. They would be 3 days old by the time you get them, plus, it would be 3 days...
