Well finally some bad news, 14 hasnt completely absorbed it yolk sack, but it doesn't look real bad.

#13 is out walking around and #14 just bust out off the egg penetentury! Sorry I keep posting, i'm just really excited, is everyones first hatch like this? My dad asked me when i was going to start passing out the cigars and letting everyone know if they are boys and girls. I'll keep posting...

these chicks are crazy! i hope they calm down soon, its kinda funny some of them look like those wind up frogs because for about 30 minutes after they hatch they will ball up then pop up in the air over and over again, i guess they are just getting used to the freedom of not being balled up in...

yeah i did have it set 101, as for pics there will be some as soon as they all hatch, i'm trying not to handle them that way there will be as little stress as possible (but its hard not to).

Thursday, Day 17: eggs moving alot! can also hear some peeping. Friday, day 18: AM- they are rolling around so i straighted them out super quickly and left for school PM- several pips, then i left to go to a freinds house to stay the night because we had to go to school at 6 Saturday morning...

out of 50 chicken eggs and 1 duck egg, 49 are developing and kicking around in the egg and the duck egg is also developing. i have 10 more days left and i cant wait to see the results of my mixed flock! How do you guys wait? I cant hardly stand it.

I candled the eggs this evening and it promices to be a pretty good hatch all but one are fertile and developing (although 1 is questionable, but i think i might have seen veins).

A little under half of mine are banty eggs. But it is still very full with 45 eggs in there.

I borrowed a hova bator from my uncle and I have it set at 101 degrees. I set 45 eggs in it tonight which will results in some pretty interesting chicks. I have silkies, cochins, buff o's, a frizzled cochin, rosecombs, ee, jap roosters, a huge mixed too, and a rir rooster. I put an x on one...
