I just cleaned the incubator and float tested again. Provided I didnt' kill them myself just now, I have 12 viable still. Threw 5 more out I think. So there's 12 in a cleaner incubator. I think two were wobbling. I'm going to give them a whole week before I give up. :fl:fl for more hatchers!!!
Oh, I posted this if anyone wants to weigh in about my 100% fail with one breed of chicken.

28 days??? Okay, I'll stick it out a little longer.
The chick that had all the problems made a nasty mess of the incubator...I wasn't sure if I should clean it or not. I dont' have another bator to put them in, what if I warmed the bathroom and ran the shower and just took them out...
None of my BLRW have even pipped. One blue maran didn't absorb it's yolk and maybe had a prolapsed vent. It died. I'm sad now.
Two BMs are zipped and stalled all day, dh may help them after dinner. I'm too sad after the other little one died. I trird to help him with his vent but there was...
So glad to hear about these other late chicks, makes me feel a little better. Day 22 here and I have 4 out, one that is taking FOR.EVAH. to get out and one wobbling. I float tested them this morning and the other 16 were all good. I guess I'll be waiting all weekend!!
I'm freaking out. Day 21 started at 8:30 this morning. I only had one pip. Now I have 3 and still no chicks. My bator is freaking out and having a very hard time keeping the humidity up but the temp is running high. It was fine for the most part until lock down.
I'm so afraid I'm not going...

I made sure to set mine so they would hatch on my days off. It would have driven me crazy to be at work when all this was happening.
I made sure to set mine to hatch while I wasn't home so I didn't spend the day staring into the bator!
I've got nothing!!!! NOTHING!! Tomorrow is 21, I think they'll hatche a little late b/c they seemed a little behind in early candling. But Come on!! Give me a pip or something (that I can see)
The dog is barking a lot more then usual...I wonder if he's hearing the chicks? I'm not. I'm...
Just went on lock down. Oh I hope I get some chicks.
Here's my wish list, 6 BLRW, at least 3 pullets, and one even tempered, quiet roo, 10 Blue Marans half pullets, more blue/splash then black.
Yay for fuzzy baby pics!!!
Mine lock down Monday. I might candle them one last time tonight both to avoid doing what I should be doing and to get rid of any quitters to make room for the babies. The eggs are tight in there and I'm nervous about all that running and bumping the early hatchers do.
GAHH!!! I knocked the plug to the bulb out of the wall!
It got down to 80* I spot checked a couple eggs and saw movement. It was only for at the most two hours so the eggs didn't cool down too much right? RIGHT???
I could see in my maran eggs with a 100 watt bulb. It wasn't clear but I could see the dancing shadow etc. I'm going to try this week with a 150 watt bulb.
