The duck eggs are on day 7 only. These are easier to see in than the chicken eggs I have. The dark beating heart today seems to be lighter and when I move and rotate the egg it seems like their is a sac or bubble. This is different then the chick eggs for me. When I rotate and see the "sac"...

Well I think my Muscovy eggs my have expired I misted them yesterday and now the dark heart spot has faded a bit in all three. Is this somehow normal progression for duck eggs?? Did I kill them with one misting? SURELY not, right? I'm at a loss. I was so excited to have ducklings.

Do you guys do the "misting" and "cooling" with your eggs like I have read about? After these hatch I would love to get some more duck eggs to try. Where can I get fertile duck eggs of different breeds? I got these Muscovy from a "free-cycle" post and a lady just gave them to me.

Well, since this is my first time hatching eggs and I basically have just been following directions I'm not positive. I have placed my hygrometer in different spots and it varies greatly from the top of the water well to the corner. I have the duck eggs over the well and it measures about 70%...

I too have some duck eggs in my incubator. 3 Muscovy eggs. Today is day 5 and I'm still not seeing anything in there yet when I am candling. Last night I could almost make out a faint pink ring which I know is a bad sign so hopefully I am imagining it. I will wait a couple more days and try...
