Thought that I'd share my two Easter Eggers I posted on here ages ago. They're 19 Weeks Old and the dark one is being rehomed to a Petting Zoo today, which is a shame because he is quite the roo to look at! Unfortunately his personality didn't make up for his good looks. The lighter one we are...
Mine about 8 Weeks now, he is probably one of my favorite roosters out of my batch, and I have another that looks very similar to him too but is skinnier and has a dirtier white. I think that the black and white ones are very handsome! Here is a pic of both of mine:
They're all hunched...
I plan on keeping them for awhile yet to determine which roo is "worthy enough" to earn his stay, whether or not this chick is a rooster or no. Thanks for the clarification over beards and muffs! I'd been curious for awhile. I'll make sure to post updates on them this Saturday (Picture Day!)...
Aw, thanks anyway! I'd been really suspicious about her being a cockerel for sometime now. Ack, that means 2 (maybe 3) of the 6 sexed pullets that I got are not pullets!
I posted a picture of my other rooster on here awhile ago (a week)? He's six weeks old now, and here's an updated picture of...
Hey Everyone!
I posted a picture of my Easter Egger "pullet" when she was four weeks old, and now she's six, and looks a lot different. She has a lot more white on her, I think than before, but her comb is really bright which has me worried that she's a cockerel, so I thought I would get your...
Yeah, I've been very worried that she could be a he, and my other chicken looks just like her, maybe a little bigger. I'll post a pic if anything obvious changes for her. Thanks a lot for helping! I very much appreciate it.
Thanks, I'll be sure to go get a comb shot in awhile! Little...
Thank you! Could I get help sexing my other EE's? All six of them were sexed pullets, and one has already been proven out as a rooster.
I think I have a good idea which ones are hens, but there are two that I'm not sure on... I posted a pic of one of them earlier, here's the other one who looks...
Summerlove, yours looks like a pullet to me! I think orange is an acceptable color for a hen, from what I've learned (thanks to this site mainly) as long as she doesn't get it dark red patches on her wings. Very pretty!
Anyone else agree that my five week old is a cockerel? He was so adorable as a baby too...
Went from this...
...To this
I take pictures every week too, so it's really cool to see how he changed.
The cockerel that I'm sure I have out of my group of six feathered in a lot more slowly, and he didn't feather in a definate color like the others have. He has a much more upright stance and has never actually been one for being held. He's actually pretty much at the same pace in growing his...
Okay, thanks anyway though! She's pretty much the only one I'm not sure on. Also, thought I'd add that I bought her as a sexed pullet. So fingers crossed eh? :)
Hope you don't mind if I cut in on this for help getting my 4.5 Week Old Easter Egger sexed. I'm really worried becaue she has thick legs and is easily the biggest chick that we have. She was a dark baby but she's feathering in white now.
She's probably the calmest chicken that we have too...
