I'm not the expert that junebuggena is, but they look like cockerels even to me. Sorry; I feel your disappointment.

Oh my! Husband and I were in the backyard this morning and heard a loud, clear "cockadoodledoo" (or "kokekokoooo" according to the Man) coming from THIS 14 week old fellow. No more doubt about his "manhood"!

I thought so, just wanting to verify. He has some gorgeous feathers, very deep red. Too bad he'll have to go.:/

A few weeks ago, you folks said that this is a cockerel. Just posting a new photo, age 12 weeks, to see if you still think so. More comb than my other 2 EEs. Thanks for helping this Newbie!

I'm afraid to ask, but is there any chance this 11-week-old is a pullet??

These are today's pix of EE Essie Rae, who will NOT hold still for a close-up of her comb. I'm pretty sure this is a pullet: opinions?

Thank goodness! I bought three EEs and would hate for all three to turn out male.

LOL, the vote is split then! I so hope Chiquita is a pullet; really don't want any roosters, just layers. Abba is much more aggressive than any of my other five chicks. What do you think about Essie Rae here? This was last week, so nine weeks old.

Here are today's pictures of Abba (who you folks have already declared a cockerel) and Chiquita, who I do think is a pullet. Age ten weeks. Thoughts? Chiquita Chiquita and Abba Chiquita Chiquita Abba

Essie Rae here is now eight weeks old. I feel fairly certain she's a girl but would love confirmation from people who know than I.

Thank you both for your evaluations. I know I simply have to wait to be sure, but it's hard because I'm getting attached to them all, but do not want a rooster. Here's a better picture of Chiquita's body:
