That's so true but at the same time, I've seen some remarkable listening skills! My goofy polish cockerel has a crazy Crest and can't see anything but, he can hear that back garage door open from across the yard and will come running, full speed, up the step, around the door and up on the feed...
They are a nice looking group! Most of my boys had big Combs but they didn't flop completely over. Your boy has really nice coloring! The girls are getting nice and pink in the face. You just might get eggs this year!
They crack me up! My legbar boys have all been pretty sweet. The little cockerel that I'm growing out now is the same way, following me around, looking for attention and I've never done anything special for him lol
I have a nice looking group that hatched out around New year's. I think I had 8 pullets and 2 cockerels in that hatch. I lost one pullet early, sold one and will sell one more with a wimpy Crest but I'm happy with the others. My girls have been doing a pretty good job laying so far :)
Thank you for posting this! I haven't looked at that page in almost a year. I had no idea that I had reserve cream legbar pullet lol. I guess that's motivation enough to get out and take pictures for this year's event. I just stinks that my best cockerel has wierd hackle feathers from an injury...
