One of mine had this pattern at about the same age. It looks to have developed into normal lacing for the most part, but I can still see an edging of gold on some of the breast feathers. She is from some shipped eggs I got. I haven't seen it on any of "my" chicks.

Yes, How close is he to the standard. I've read and read it but can't find pics of good GLW so I'm going by photod of the other varieties. I'm also finding alot more cushion on alot of birds than how I understand the standard. And thank you!

I'm wondering how many of us have hatchery dottes and how many bought from a breeder. I'm working on improving my birds and I'm having a hard time finding quality birds. I have found some really nice pullets and I have several 8 week olds that I'm growing out.

Here are some of GLW with my BR at about 5 weeks My roo Fabio and one pullet at 8 weeks. And again at 10 weeks I love my GLW. I also have SLW in the incubator that should be here next week.
