My last hatch,I used paper cartons. It was at least as good as those without the cartons,maybe better. I still had 2 chicks pip and not hatch,but at least I know it wasn't because they got rolled over. They seemed to zip quicker. I don't use the rubber shelf liner because on my first 2 hatches...
