    and I have a dozen bags of goodies all ready for tonight, we are very rural so seldom get many kiddies but last year I was late getting home from work and found some kiddies just leaving my property, was sad that I hadn't done anything for them. Maybe I'll also get them dookin' for apples

    That happened to me on our acreage, only me at home, chooks roaming around and two staffys a male and a female came running towrds me up my drive. The female jumped at me and I thought I was going to be a gonner but she licked me to death instead. Then they left... a week later they came back...

    It can get to 45c here in summer, we have misters spraying into the chook run but they hate it, don't realise it's for their own good. I usually end up herding them into a small area and hose them down. Luckily we have trees in our run that provide lots of shade. That's usually where I head to...

    I'm only guessing but if they are farmed emus I don't see why not, Wild emus would be a different story

    Not been in this thread much and am presuming it's a general chit chat thread so not much is 'off topic' with that in mind am sincerely hopiung that the horrendous bush fires sweeping across NSW that everyone and their animals are okay :(
