What I do for my birds (chickens, ducks and turkeys) all in one barn is I have rubber buckets, and two bigger rubber dishes that I fill up twice daily (no heat). Five gal each time, when they freeze I have to dump them outside and build a ice sculpture by tapping the bottom to break the ice out...- mommyofthreewithchicks
