Well I have 4 out and no more pips. Not a single silkie . I am going to let them go for a while longer and hope for the best. When do you know that they are done?

Right now the humidity is at 90% and temp is at 98*. I have a forced air Hovabator and both vents are open.

At 9:05 I noticed my first pip and it cheeped while I was sitting there! This is of a Australorp that I had marked as a possible quitter - sure glad I didn't trust my judgement and kept everything that wasn't obviously clear or stinky (non of those thankfully) I am having a booger of a time...

Locked down today at 1030a (I set at 930) with 14/27 eggs left. 5 silkies, 9 Australorps. Temps down to 95* and humidity hovering at 60%. Can't seem to get them any higher. I am a bit jealous at all the pips (and Chicks) already! Maybe I should go stare at them for a while to encourage them...

I would like to learn how to feather sex the chicks at least. I will have to try that on this hatch if all goes well.
