    My first AR15 build

Really? Didn't know that. Personally, I'm kinda curious to see what happens if I walk through town with my .30-30 on my back. Not an "evil" gun, so the reaction would be interesting, if less hysterical. Just had a thought. How is one supposed to control the recoil of a 7.62X39mm PISTOL?

    My first AR15 build

I was on their site, and they linked to an opinion article that was all worked up about a guy (legally) carrying an AK pistol in a park. They kinda missed the entire point of him doing it. Oh, and according to them, pistol grips on rifles somehow facilitate one-handed firing and make "hip...

Hey, if you get really lucky, the Brady Center might come after you!

    My first AR15 build

If I want to engage a target at 600+ yards, I'll get a Remington 700, thanks. Where I live, it's woods, neighborhoods, and some fields. It's all brush around here. I'm still waffling between an AK and an AR, as both have their pros and cons. I'll admit I'm biased towards the AK, though, as...

    My first AR15 build

It's actually not too hard to hit a torso-sized target with an AK, even at 100 yards - just saying. That's sort of like saying that a .30-30 is "spray and pray." The thing is a fantastic brush gun, and in the South, that's precisely what's most practical. BTW, nice AR. What caliber is it?

Looking good! Can't wait to see it finished - you know you're gonna have to post a video, now. Or, at least tell us how it shoots.

    My first AR15 build

Yeah, that's true. Unfortunate, as well. If it weren't for the "evil gun" use of the AK in movies, etc., there'd probably be more American companies making them, as well as ammo for them. I don't think I've EVER seen a movie villain/evil mook using an M-4 or M-16. Just had a thought that...

    My first AR15 build

When I see one, I see an excellent "people's rifle." Sounds like Commie propaganda, I know, but it's true. They're far cheaper than AR-15s and exceptionally easy to maintain and operate. As George Orwell put it, simple weapons are inherently democratic weapons that give claws to the weak.

NICE! If the dang things weren't so expensive, I'd LOVE to get myself an AR-15 (after an AK-47, of course. ). Shot a friend's once - that thing was so much fun! Post pics of when it's finished! Bet it'll be fun to shoot.
