    A small correction on silverpied genetics. Silver pieds carry two copies of white eye gene , besides one white gene and one pied gene. Only loud pieds if they can be called so --- carry one white, one pied and ONE copy of white eye gene. I love all silver pieds especialy Blackshoulder...

    He looks like an Indiablue split Bs. so must be the hen to get a BS chick .

    White chicks will have white body and white wings,very uniform all over the chick. On the other hand, BS chicks get,creamy body and distinctly different -very light brown color on the entire lower half of both the wings. very easily distinguishable upon close observation with 100% accuracy.

    It is said that the increased testosterone (male hormone) levels causes the swelling on the upper neck at this time of the year.Towards the end of the breeding season, this hormone level decreases triggering the molt and the bulged neck becomes flat along side.

    You are right to a great extent, silver pied carrys one white, one pied and two copies of w/e. if it carrys one copy it will be pied white eyed.

    The third picture male has lot of color . does not look like a silver pied- may be a pied male with single factor w/e gene.

    it is a purple pied hen possibly white eyed. The father is definitely a purple and also one parent carrys a white gene and the other a pied gene,to make the hen pied and one of the parents is also white eyed.

    The pure cameos should not have any purple or blue on the neck. If there happens to be purple color feathers on the upper neck right below her head , she must be a purple pied
