    I didnt know you could keep 2 roosters together. The Orphington rooster I have was badly beaten up and almost killed by another rooster before i got him. He had his spurs ripped off. So I don't know how he would do with another roo.

    @ygritte She is broody sometimes. I've found that my buff Orphington hens are more broody.

    @lomine I didnt know there was a difference. I am new to the chicken mom job. I just love birds of all kinds. Her eggs are green.

    @lomine The black hen is an egger. She is gorgeous. I also have a brown egger, 4 buff Orphington hens, one bantam brahma, one buff laced polish, a dutch bantam, a splash rosecomb bantam, and a buff orphinton roo.

    Actually my fiance wants turkeys. We tried last year for a Tom and hen but ended up with all toms. So a friend of mine is ordering a bunch of turkey pullets and when they are sexable (is that even a word? Lol) we will get a ton and hen.

    Thank you! My flock is looking good now. I actually rescued then from a horrible home.:( They had never been outside of the barn they were living in. I had to file beaks and clip nails because they could not eat or walk. The lady that had them didn't feed them anything but sweet feed for...
