    I'm sorry for your loss :( I'm not a chicken person, but maybe you could consider doing your own necropsy? Never done it myself, but I've read of others on the forum that do this when they lose a bird. If you suspect parasites, obviously you'll have to be very clean and sanitary... and do it...
