    If from two different hens, Pekin usually lays a larger egg than Rouen, although not always. Beautiful once they're cleaned up! Nice size too! :D

    On ducks especially, the cuticle can be a bit waxy, and you can see scratches in it because when the egg is laid the cuticle is still wet and when mrs duck moves is around, it gets scratched. The spots you are seeing are thicker parts, or dirty spots on the cuticle. Use a bit of baking powder...

    I happened to touch the picture and got a close up. I can't really tell, but it looks like there is a pretty heavy cuticle on that egg....if so, I would say duck...a pretty dirty duck egg. If you can scrub that cuticle off, then, yes, it's a duck. Otherwise I'd go with EE.
